Reclay Group and the Canadian Embassy held a Parliamentary Evening

“Enhanced product responsibility and resource efficiency: the potentials of a transatlantic collaboration in recycling management” – this was the title of a parliamentary evening organised jointly by the Reclay Group and the Canadian Embassy on 21st May in Berlin at the Embassy’s premises.

The event played a role in networking and communication between important transatlantic decision-makers from industry and politics. The central topics of the evening were the activities of the Reclay Group in North America before the backdrop of the planned European-Canadian free trade agreement (CETA). Being a German company in the Canadian market, the Reclay Group advocates close transatlantic collaboration in recycling management, with the aim of using the economic and ecological experience and potential of both countries to create synergies.

Around 60 guests accepted the invitation, including numerous delegates of the German Parliament, representatives from the Ministries for Economic Affairs and the Environment, politicians, representatives from organisations as well as environmental and recycling experts from Canada and Germany. The ambassador, Her Excellency Mrs Marie Gervais-Vidricaire, greeted the guests in person. Specialist speakers Laurie Giroux, CEO of Giroux Environmental Consulting, and Dr Fritz Flanderka, managing director of the Reclay Group, gave fascinating insights into the topic.
